Session 4 - To da Dump! - Dec. 9 2017 Empty Session 4 - To da Dump! - Dec. 9 2017

After having crawled out of the sewer, showered and napped, our adventurers (as yet unnamed) accomplished some righteous tasks. The blood idol was taken to the temple of Rogoroth and examined by Samuel and others, to reveal indeed an evil aura, but no new knowledge of the statue, leaving the temple staff shaken and somewhat confused. Bad juju. A donation was made to the temple which provides free legal advice to one and all, and some outstanding fines were paid. The Adventurers also gained a new member, Rashak, a young human fighter passionately committed to The Rock's two finest local assets, the hardy ales and the eligible lasses. It was the temple's hope that an adventuring outfit would keep "Shak" busy and keep an eye on him. Shak gained something of a reputation in Queen Phoebe's outfit, leading his own cell, until he was old enough to find his own way in the "adult" world, but has some contact with the organization.

The party was also visited by a frightened delivery boy called Bryeon, who seemed to be pursued by other "Brian"s with crossbows and sketchy intent. He was working for Jim-Jam's Pickles and More, but after some questioning, Bryeon admitted to being a pickle mule for illicit drugs in Luciferian Rock, and had been skimming roughly 1500gp from the dealers, including a shady guy named Willie who works in the garden Temple, in order to feed and clothe orphans for the last year. Determined to keep the boy safe, the group smuggled Bryeon through the sewers, while getting word to the orphan kids to scatter and find safety, as they were in peril of retaliation from the drug lords. Luckily our favorite red-headed step-child had a friend near the dump who gave him refuge, while our adventurers sifted through the refuse of the sewer entrance near the dump.

An epic fight with the elusively well-armed Tinker Goblins was inevitable. Upon the onset on battle, it was revealed that the gobbos has somehow constructed an armored mechanical goblin barrel that they were driving through the dump, and that they were armed with additional and numerous goblin tinker bombs. The terrifying bombs actually ended up backfiring on the gobbos, as the party continuously found ways to set off groups of the clever explosives, reeking goblin carnage throughout the lower portion of the landfill. Goblins apparently make fine buzzard jerky. Tsapps, in a clever move, and with some handy illusion magic provided by Hush and Vale, summoned the promise of pickles and glory and the remaining goblins surrendered. After disabling the mech, a clockwork man, with a few screws loose, called Rabscuttle, was freed. Apparently he is some sort of courier for contracts and documents and is connected with the Boatmurder clan of dwarves, where Mavedora chatted with Brax Boatmurder.

Upon some inspection of the goblin trash camps, it was determined that the goblins had to be working with an apothecary to fuel the constructs with explosive ingredients. NOTHING says trouble like an alchemist run amok. The group collected an alchemy kit, and a tinker bomb from the foray.

The group also expanded their visions both for The Rock and themselves. Tsapps has been instrumental in starting a soup kitchen for the homeless and needy, as well as taking charge to try to create a small force of trained goblins, instead of immediately slaughtering them. Vale aspires to officially chronicle the evolution of the group as their fame and power rise through the ranks of Rock society, while Mavedora seems to be softening her dwarven grouchiness and more firmly commits to healing the ailments of the poor and suffering. Hush seems to have taken a turn toward more roguish qualities and looks to spread influence and learn the secrets of The Rock with the help of his yet unrevealed sprite, Dia. Shak is enjoying having focused tasks that challenge him while giving him a place to fit in and feel like home. Mouse is watching the group's influence spread and is carefully weighing where the power gaps within The Rock are and how the group can fill those gaps. The crew is still on the trail to find Benny, and The Mouse has decided it is time for her and Phoebe to chat....
