Mundane Magic Empty Mundane Magic

One of the things I've always found bothersome within RPGs and fantasy settings is the inconsistency of magic. It seems, although magic is pervasive in these settings, spellcasting or magic use is always flashy and significant. There is no construct for using magic for practical living. If your basic 1st level wizard can summon a cloud of fog thick enough to manage an escape, would not the same wizard theoretically be able to control that magic to a lesser degree in order to water the petunias?

Our DM, in kindness, curiosity and understanding has allowed us to create a collection of Mundane Magic. These should be spells and abilities that give mundane tasks and situations a magical solution. So, please add your ideas in this thread for spells, magical abilities, minor magical items, scrolls etc. These will be reviewed, standardized, and compiled in a home-brew document. cheers

Blue Candles: fantasy air conditioning, because no one likes being sweaty. light one candle and lower the temperature around you by 10* 20* if you are in a sealed room with plenty of insulation lasts only and hour though. 20 gp.

Not home brew; but, the upcoming release of Xanathar's Guide to Everything (I've preordered and will bring the book after it arrives for others to peruse) includes some common magic items. I still think we could brainstorm additional items of course.

so after reviewing the pathfinder rules on magic item creation the pathfinder core rule book here is a link http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/coreRulebook/magicItems/magicItemCreation.html. I'm using a chart found on page 550. Mouse's magic make up should cost around 50 gp to make for a single use single effect item at level 1 spell already known to her. pathfinder says you can only make one magic item in a day, but it does say that potions and scrolls that fall under 250 gp base price are the exception. rule states that if you go over 250 you have to spend 8 hours and you can make a max of 1000 gp towards an item a 8hr day. so she should be able to make 20 items in a day at first level. if she had the spell slots for it. Citation might be needed, due to the duration effect of the spell but this is what we'll go for now. I encourage yall to also look at the amazing home brew items people have come up with and see if anything inspires you http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/coreRulebook/magicItems/magicItemCreation.html
